The Minelab Explorer XS is one of the best all round metal detectors on the market today!
There are many metal detectors on the market today and chosing one can be a complete minefield. I won't go into details on which is the best but just the Metal detector I use. Minelab have a number of excellent metal detectors on the market, some deemed as the best in the world.
I use the Minelab Explorer XS sinply because of the excellent qualitiesof the machine. It's also a cost issue to, as I wanted a top end metal detector with an affordable price. The Minelab XS is no longer in production and can only bought as a second hand machine, which are always sought after.
Don't let the fact the Explorer XS can only be bought second hand, as it's still widely used by many devoted metal detectorists and can certainly hold its own against the newer metal detectors. In many cases it's used in favour of some fo the newer machines.
Build quality, price, functionality and the ability to find those good finds and be used on many ground conditions including wet salt sand make it the machine for me.
